There are moments in life we’ll always remember. Receiving a cancer diagnosis is undoubtedly one of those moments.

We feel everything from shock to fear, despair and sadness, anger, and perhaps (for those of us who have been waiting to find out what the heck is going on!) slight relief to finally have an answer.

But, really – cancer?! We know; we’ve been there too. We are here to help support, inspire, encourage and share. We’re here to tell you that yes, cancer is terrifying. It’s no walk in the park. It may be the hardest thing you’ll ever have to face. And we want to tell you that although Cancer World is not the place you ever wanted to be, you are not in it alone.

And you know what else? You still have some control over your health and your life. We made some of the biggest and best changes in our own lives after joining the Cancer Club. We took an integrative approach to our health and healing, making real food and getting comfy in our kitchens a priority.

Not only did this help our bodies to cope with conventional treatment – providing more energy, strength and stamina – but it also helped boost our immune systems and gave our bodies what they needed in creating a cancer-kicking environment. On top of that, eating clean, whole food helped our moods – and we felt happier and more positive all while facing cancer.

According to the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, “90 to 95 percent of cancers have their roots in the environment and lifestyle [including diet].”

That means that how you live your life, what you put on your plate, can make a difference. And we’re here to show you how.
